ABOUT

ME

I'm Passionate About Inspiring Others

Like many people, my life has not been especially easy. I have had my ups and downs over the years while struggling with depression, anxiety, alcoholism and drug addiction. There have been times in my past where I wanted to throw in the towel and be done with all of the pain in this world. Thanks to God I was given the grace to continue living and really learn to live a fulfilling life. I believe I was led into sobriety and recovery through divine intervention and a whole lot of self-imposed pain with active addiction. I was directed into a wonderful fellowship by Dr. Jeff Hamsley where I learned how to live my life sober one day at a time. I learned how to look at myself and take an honest inventory of my assets and challenges. I learned how to get out of my head by helping others who are in need. I want to give back and help those people who are still suffering with active addiction and untreated mental health disorders. I have been pulled from the depths of despair to a point in my life where I can't imagine being separated from the people I love. I am passionate about teaching others what I was taught about recovery and living a life filled with faith and hope for a better tomorrow. I want to help others avoid some of the immense pain I went through in my life as a result of addiction.

My therapy practice is centered on faith in God and the immense resiliency of my clients. I place a very high value on your privacy and confidentiality. Unfortunately, there is still a major stigma associated with alcohol and drug use disorders, and especially mental health disorders. The name of my therapy practice is not associated with anything related to addiction, mental health, or recovery. When you write a check or use your credit card to make a payment, the Harp Professional Consulting, LLC business name will be the only record between the therapy services I provide and your therapy. You can rest assured that your privacy and confidentiality will be protected above all else. It will be up to you how much you are willing to disclose to others about  your assets and challenges.  I accept health insurance such as BC/BS and other insurances that will be listed under the services section of the website. There will be minimal records unless you require specific records for court or your own personal use. I will meet with you at your residence, my office, or a neutral site for therapy sessions. I accept cash, visa, mastercard, and discover in person or through Square. Venmo will also be another form of accepted method of payment.

The following are some of the counseling techniques I utilize during the therapy process: Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), 12-Step Facilitation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Christian Counseling, Trauma Counseling with Chair Massage, Reality Therapy, and Art & Music Therapy.
